HOW MUCH DOES A WEEKLY MOWING SERVICE COST?
Our basic lawn mowing price starts at $40, however, pricing is based on the estimated amount of time that it will take our team to complete your grass cutting. Things that will affect the estimated amount of time include property size, property layout, as well as current landscaping condition. Give our office a call for your lawn mowing quote!
WHAT DO YOU INCLUDE WITH YOUR BASIC LAWN MOWING SERVICE?
Our basic mowing service includes cutting the lawn, fine-line trimming around obstacles, borders, and blowing grass clippings off paved surfaces. More importantly, we keep our lawn mower blades sharp, and we alternate mowing patterns every week to ensure a fresh-cut lawn.
HOW OFTEN DOES YOUR CREW SHOW UP?
Our most common lawn mowing schedule is once per week.
WHAT DAY WILL YOUR CREW MOW MY LAWN WITH THE WEEKLY MOWING SERVICE?
Our lawn care business uses routes based on geographic areas, similar to your trash pick-up service. When you sign up for service, our office staff will let you know what day of the week you can expect our crew.
WHAT IF I DON'T NEED YOUR CREWS TO MOW MY LAWN ONE WEEK?
If you call or email our office 24 hours before your mowing day, you can cancel service for that week. We will come the following week to cut your lawn. No refunds will be provided.
CAN I SKIP WEEKS THAT I DON’T NEED MY LAWN MOWED?
Being on our mowing route assures your service each week. We understand that you may not need service when the grass dries out and grows slower. Thus, we do allow skips, however, the seasonal rate is discounted, so no refunds will be provided.
WE DON’T NEED MOWING EACH WEEK, DO YOU OFFER A DIFFERENT SERVICE SCHEDULE?
We do offer different mowing schedules. Still, our weekly mowing schedule is our most popular and cost-effective option and will provide you with the most value. In the Spring we highly suggest our weekly mowing service because the grass tends to grow so fast. If your lawn becomes too long, the city could fine you. You may also incur additional charges to account for the extra labor and equipment wear for grass between 6-9". Usually, this is twice the base rate for that visit.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN YOU SERVICE MY PROPERTY?
Of course not! There is no need for you to wait at home for our crews to come to mow your lawn. Our goal at KURB APPEAL LLC is to simplify your life, by showing up and taking care of your lawn service for you. So go to work, drop your kids off at school, enjoy your time, while we take care of your yard work.
I HAVE LOCKS ON MY BACK GATES, CAN I UNLOCK THEM WHEN YOUR CREW IS HERE?
When our crew arrives on site, they are expecting to get right to work. If you do keep your fence gates locked, we advise that you use a “coded” lock and provide that code to our office where we can securely keep the code on file. Often weather delays can change your regular service day. We have found it to be smoother for our clients if we have the ability to lock and unlock the gate for you. If our crew cannot unlock your gates at the time of service they will skip the inaccessible area. Our crew will service that area the following week. No refunds will be provided.
WILL YOU WEED WACK AND EDGE?
Our basic mowing service includes using a line trimmer (also known as a weed wacker) to trim grass against the driveway, sidewalks, and hardscapes. We do offer edging as an a' la carte service.
DO YOU PULL WEEDS WHEN YOU COME TO MOW MY LAWN?
Our basic lawn mowing services do not include weed pulling. However, you can choose one of our landscape maintenance packages, which includes routine weed pulling and mowing. We also offer weed pulling as an à la carte service.
DO YOU BAG THE CLIPPINGS?
We do offer lawn bagging as an optional add-on service. However, our basic weekly mowing service does not include bagging. If you would like to add this service to your weekly mowing, call our office to get this scheduled.
WHAT IF IT RAINS ON MY NORMAL MOWING DAY?
In the case of a rain delay, we will automatically reschedule your home as a high priority the next mowable day.
WHAT IF MY MOWING DAY FALLS ON A HOLIDAY?
If your mowing date falls on a holiday, we will reschedule your home as a high priority for the next mowable day. Sometimes we may be able to shift our schedules to service your property before the holiday.
WE HAVE DOGS, WILL YOUR CREW CLOSE OUR GATE?
Yes, our lawn mowing crews are trained to walk the property once the mowing service is finished and close any gate we open during the service.
CAN YOUR LAWN MOWING CREW TRIM MY BUSHES WHEN THEY COME TO MOW?
Our basic mowing service does not include bush trimming. But, you can choose one of our lawn care packages, which includes routine bush trimming and mowing. A different crew would perform bush trimming on a separate day from your mowing service. Separating these services allows our crews to be more efficient so they can complete all our mowing clients on a timely basis. We do offer bush trimming as an à la carte service.
WHAT IF MY GRASS IS LONG?
Our base pricing is valid for grass up to 6 inches in total length. Most lawns with routine maintenance each week grow less than this amount. If you have an actively growing lawn or have not had your lawn mowed in a while, it may be over 6 inches when the crew comes to perform that service.
We require our crews to provide a completed, professional job to our clients. To do this in tall grass, we may have to mow over the property twice, slow down, and bag or rake up clippings. Lawns between 6-9″ may be mowed on your regular service day, but will incur additional charges to account for the extra labor and equipment wear. Usually, this is twice the base rate for that visit.
Our weekly lawn mowing teams cannot service lawns over 9″ tall. We consider this “field mowing,” and can send a particular crew to your home to mow it down to the proper length. Pricing for field mowing varies, so please ask before signing up for it. It is important to note, the measurement our crew takes on your lawn is at an average looking location, on the day of service, and not the day you sign up for service.
CAN YOU DO A ONE TIME MOW?
We do offer one-time cuts if our schedule permits. We also offer bi-weekly service.
HOW DO I PAY MY BILL?
Seasonal lawn care is billed for the entire season. We accept payment in full, or we do offer payment plans which include installment fees. For one time cuts, or a' la carte services, payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks or credit cards.
